First Ever Smoothie King Locations Opening in Grand Rapids Area

Love a good smoothie? Great news! Six new Smoothie King stores are coming to West Michigan.

These will be the smoothie franchise's first ever locations in the Grand Rapids area.

The first Smoothie King opened in Dallas in 1973 and now has more than 1200 locations nationwide. Representatives have said Smoothie King aims to open at least 100 new stores this year.

If you've never tried  Smoothie King, the brand says its mission is to aim to inspire a healthy and active lifestyle with it's "Clean Blends Promise": providing great-tasting smoothies with more whole fruits and vegetables while removing artificial flavors, colors and preservatives and added sugars in many of its blends.

Smoothie flavor options include Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple, Vanilla, Mocha, Coffee, Chocolate, Espresso, and more. You'll also find Refresher drinks like Mango Lemonade and Strawberry Guava.

In 2023, Smoothie King introduced Smoothie Bowls topped with fresh fruit and granola. Check out the menu here! Smoothie King also offers retail products that include sports beverages, energy bars, vitamins, supplements and more.

In a press release, the company announced that Franchiser OM Group will be opening six West Michigan Smoothie King locations in early 2025. The franchise owners, Amit Patel, Kalpesh Patel and Amanda Ristic will develop these new stores in the area.

While exact addresses were not provided, the new Smoothie King stores are coming to Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Wyoming, Holland, Grand Haven, and Muskegon.
