Authentic Mexican Restaurant Opens Second Location in Grand Rapids Area

Love Mexican food? Great news! A local, authentic Mexican restaurant has expanded with a second location.

The original location of El Aztecas is in Allendale at 6031 Lake Michigan Drive. The owners say El Aztecas represents the hard working immigrants in the United States that put everything they had into fulfilling a dream. Their mission is to make our customers feel at home and at the same time provide authentic Mexican food.

The restaurant serves nachos, hard or soft shell tacos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tortas, chimichangas, fajitas, a Mexican burger, and specialty dishes with shrimp, chicken, and steak.

There's also breakfast like Huevos Rancheros, and Breakfast Burritos. Sides include rice, beans, and French Fries. For desserts you'll find deep fried, ice cream, churros, flan, and more.

New to the menu are Hot Cheeto Burria Bombs.

The drink menu includes cocktails like Margaritas and Mimosas, plus beer.

At the end of May, El Aztecas opened a new restaurant at 3040 Walker Ave. NW in Walker at the site of a former Bob Evans.

Hours are Monday through Thursday 11a.m. to 9:30p.m., Friday 11:30a.m. to 10:30p.m., Saturday 11:30a.m. to 10:30p.m., and Sunday 11:30a.m. to 9p.m.
