Saladworks Closes Downtown Grand Rapids
Another restaurant has shut its doors for good in Grand Rapids.
Saladworks at 44 Ionia Ave. SW posted a sign on the building announcing the closure.
The fast-casual restaurant featured made-to-order salads, sandwiches, and soups.
According to MLive, the Ionia Ave. Saladworks was opened in August 2014 by Tim and Julie Calderone.
A few months later, the 28th Street Saladworks location opened. The Calderones also own Kilwin’s Chocolates & Ice Cream in McKay Tower downtown Grand Rapids.
According to the chain's Facebook page, there are over 100 franchise locations in ten states.
