A unique and popular store in Hudsonville has announced that they will be closing after ten years of business.

Painted Farmgirl, at 3704 Chicago Dr. in Hudsonville, is a boutique store and marketplace that has featured vintage and up-cycled furniture, jewelry, home decor, pillows and other one-of-a-kind items and antiques. They also have done color consultations, custom furniture orders, and hosted paint parties.

The store announced yesterday on Facebook that they will be closing their doors for the last time on May 31 at 6:00 p.m.

It’s been fun getting to know so many of you and helping turn your houses into homes. I’m excited for the next chapter in my life, here’s to new adventures!

The closing leaves vendors featured at the store wondering what the future holds for them and fans of those vendors wondering where they can find them. The Facebook comments on the store's closing offers some clues, but it's sure to be something that will vary on a case-by-case basis.
