A New Species Of Bass Has Been Discovered
Fishermen love catching bass and there are a variety of them to choose from, but now there is a new species anglers can add to the list.
One of the most exciting and fairly easy fish to catch is a bass. When beginners graduate from catching bluegill and perch, they usually move up to bass fishing. There are several types of bass to fish for and now there is a whole new species for anglers to go after.
Different Species of Bass
A variety of bass species are found all across the U.S. and many of these are right here in Michigan. The largemouth bass is one of the most common that anglers go after. Largemouth get big pretty quick and put on quite a fight when you get a good one on.
Smallmouth bass are very popular in Michigan, and they put on one of the best fights of any freshwater fish outside the trout/salmon species. Smallmouth like to take the battle to the air and jump out of the water a lot, and if it's a big one, be prepared for the deep dives they take.
There are black bass, spotted bass, striped bass, white bass, yellow bass, a few rare species found only in specific regions.
