A Michigan man is in police custody after he allegedly poured acid on a woman Wednesday morning.

According to WZZM-13, the woman ran to a neighbor's house after being attacked shortly after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Ganges Township. She says she was tackled to the ground by a man who lived in the home and he then threw acid on her. She suffered acid burns on her face and chest.

Police say that the suspect said some unusual things to the woman before leaving the home in the woman's car. The car was later found in Berrien County where police arrested the man.
