MI: Judge Has Field Trip Student Placed in Cuffs and Jumpsuit
Going on field trips is one of the best things when going to school but when taking one to a courtroom, one Michigan student found out why you shouldn't be rude to a judge.
School Field Trips
Growing up in Michigan, I went on my share of school field trips.
The best part of going on a field trip was we were not in school we were out doing something fun.
I remember visiting farms, the Detroit Zoo, apple orchards, Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford Museum, the planetarium, the Holland Tulip Festival, and several others.
One of my favorite field trips was to Flint, Michigan, to watch court cases. I went on several of these trips when I was in junior high. We would watch real court cases walk to the University of Michigan Flint and swim in the pool. I remember one time riding on an elevator with a criminal in shackles and hand-cuffs who was on trial for murder which was intimidating as a kid, then to find out that was the case I was going to watch was over the top.

Michigan Judge Has Field Trip Student Placed in Cuffs and Jumpsuit
According to WXYZ, a non-profit The Greening of Detroit went on a field trip to the 36th District Court where Judge Kenneth King was presiding.
A 15-year-old student was falling asleep and Judge King did not like and warned about it but he felt she had a bad attitude. That is when he ordered her out of the courtroom. Judge King felt she needed a lesson and told her to change into a jail uniform, put her in cuffs, and sit in lock up.
Not everyone agrees with how Judge King handled the situation but he did get his point across on how serious it is to be in a courtroom. Watch the video below to hear the judge's comments on the young lady in court and how others disagree with his handling of the situation.
