Man Attempting Suicide Douses Himself In Gasoline, Gets Tased By Police And Catches Fire

Police officers dealing with suicidal situations are in one of the toughest spots imaginable. Dealing with somebody who obviously has given up and decided to end it all is already a precarious position. Tensions only get higher when that person has doused themselves in gasoline.

Typically, you’d think there would be negotiators and maybe loved ones trying to talk the person out of making a decision like this person from Texas. With the man doused in gasoline and ready to flick the lighter, the police officer on scene was forced to make an impossible decision.

Not wanting to kill the man but needing to stop the situation, the police officer had to use his taser on the man, with disastrous results.

As it turns out, a taser and gasoline don’t mix and it sent the man up in flames anyway. They were able to put the flames out with a blanket but the condition of the man is unknown.
