Macy’s Holding Hiring Event in West Michigan on Thursday

It's the holiday season and not only do businesses need the extra help around this time of year but I'm sure you could use the extra money too.

Every year, department stores hire seasonal workers and Macy's will be holding a hiring event on Thursday, Nov. 12th, and this includes both stores at Woodland Mall in Kentwood and Rivertown Crossings in Grandville.

Several jobs are available in various types of work. Click on the links to learn more about each position.

• Retail Sales Associate
• Retail Fulfillment Associate
• Cosmetic/Fragrance Ringer Associate
• Security Guard

Workers will get a weekly paycheck, a 20% off employee discount, and the opportunity to earn bonuses.

If interested, fill out an application. Telephone interviews will be held on Thursday from 12p-7p. If you are unavailable you can set up a different day to interview.

As far as COVID-19 safety goes, all employees will be given a wellness check prior to starting their shift and Macy's provides their workers with masks to wear throughout their workday. Gloves and hand sanitizers will also be available.

In other job related news, the state of Michigan is also hiring for over 300 positions, including jobs in West Michigan and the delivery service, Shipt, is still adding shoppers throughout the holidays.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is still a go for 2020 however it will be crowd-less for the first time since its inception. You can still watch it live on Nov. 26 from 9a-12p on NBC.
