
Grand Rapids Area Korean Street Food Restaurant Shuts Down
After less than two years in business, a Grand Rapids area Korean street food joint is closing.

It really is a bummer that so many restaurants are shutting down. Recently we told you that Beacon Corner Bar and Rockwell Republic closed.
Add K-Pocha to the list.
K-Pocha first opened at 5751 Byron Center Ave. SW in Wyoming in June of 2023 at the site of the former Windy City Grill. Husband-and-wife team of Lam To and ThienHa Phan along with friend Chef Phong Nguyen were behind the K-Pocha.

The menu featured made-to-order Korean hot dogs, meat skewers, rice dishes, and more.
News of K-Pocha's closure was shared to Facebook this week, with the owners writing,
During this difficult time, with high rise in rent, inflation of food we won’t able to keep up with the bills for Kpocha concept.
A new casual Vietnamese restaurant called Phở House will be opening up its place. There still might be hope for K-Pocha lovers though, as the owners say they are searching for a smaller location for it, or may operate it as a food truck.

Not too long ago Nguyen sold his Vietnamese restaurant Monsoon downtown Grand Rapids. It has since reopened as a new Cajun eatery.
