Heading Downtown? You Can Now Reserve a Parking Spot

Parking in Downtown Grand Rapids just got a little bit easier for people.

Ellis Parking announced a new feature that lets people reserve spots ahead of time... that way you don't waste time driving around in circles looking for a spot. You can make the reservation through Ellis' website or the ParkMobile App.

Reservations can be made at nine different ramps and lots around downtown. You just choose the venue you're going to attend (Van Andel Arena, DeVos Performance Hall, 20 Monroe Live, or Civic Theater) and the event. From there you find the parking you want and viola... reserved!

Before you ask... yes, there is a catch. Reserving a parking spot will cost you anywhere from $7 to $10 more.

Fox 17 says that as of right now the service is only available for evenings but is expected to go all day in 2019.
