OK, who lost a pig downtown?

Weird question I know, but Grand Rapids Police Department spent some time today trying to corral a pig that got loose at the intersection of Hall Street and Division Ave., according to Mlive.

Mlive says police were called after the pig, that weighted around 300 pounds, was chasing people around the BP station on the corner of the intersection.  It doesn’t appear anyone was hurt, and animal control was able to catch and secure the pig.

Mlive reports police are unsure if it’s a pet or what… I can tell you, as someone who moved here in the last 3 years, nothing in the tourism material talks about wild pigs, so I’m guessing the assumption that it’s a pet that got loose, is a safe one.

By the way, if you lost your pig, it’s at animal control.
