Ever sat at a hockey game thinking, “This would be way more fun if my dog was here”? Well, here’s your chance. The Grand Rapids Griffins’ annual Dog Game is making its return to Van Andel Arena, allowing fans to cheer alongside their four-legged best friends.

Grand Rapids Griffins Dog Game 2025

This year’s Jake Engel Memorial Dog Game is coming up Sunday, Nov. 2, at 4p.m.  Watch as the Griffins take on the Rockford Ice Hogs.

Seating and Tickets

Special dog-friendly seating will be open in select lower-level sections: 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 209.

Tickets are $24 (plus fees), and $5 for dogs. Proceeds from the tickets for pups will go The Bissell Pet Foundation.

Also, if you buy your tickets through this link, $3 from each ticket will go the Kent County Animal Shelter. So not only are you having a great time with your dog, you're supporting awesome causes!

Important Things to Know Before You Go

  • Fans with dogs must purchase seats in the designated pet-friendly sections.
  • Entry for pups and their people will be through the main lobby only.
  • A signed waiver is required at check-in—save time by filling it out ahead of the game.
  • Each fan may bring just one dog, and all dogs must remain leashed at all times.
  • Season Ticket Members bringing a pup will need to sit in the dog-designated areas for this game.
  • Outdoor relief stations will be available near the southeast and southwest corners of Van Andel Arena for your furry friends.
