I'm no stranger to weird nights drinking at various Grand Rapids establishments and I hear a ton of messed up crap! This is one of those tales. It's another edition of From the Bar Stool.

LateWed Night I was killing beers at Gippers and a chick I was talking to told me about this 31 year old douche bag named James Hill from Murrysville Pennsylvania. The guy sends a text to one of his buddies named Eric, asking if he was home or not. Her brother is a cop, that’s how she heard about this one. Only Eric and James were not really friends, they just kind of knew some of the same people and had each others numbers.

Either way, Eric texted him back saying no, he wasn’t home, and when Eric did get home, he found that his house had been robbed! Ripped of his big flat panel TV, stole his lap top, digital camera! All kinds of stuff was missing, and when cops showed up to investigate Eric told them about the text message he got earlier that day from James, and that sounded like a good enough lead to the cops, and when they showed up at douche bag James’s house, guess what they found? All Eric’s stuff! Hahaha!

So if you ever get a text from someone asking you if your home or not, might be someone trying to find out if your home or not so they can rob you! And that’s why you shouldn’t post stuff about your vacation plans on facebook either, ‘I can’t wait I’m leaving tomorrow for Mexico for a week!’ Not good, because anyone that might want to rob you now knows your out of town for the week! Just saying.
