Rockford, Cedar Springs, Catholic Central and Unity Christian won state football district titles last weekend, and now they head off to a possibly snowy regional round this weekend. Here's the schedule.

In Division 1, surprising Rockford, fresh off a 24-21 upset of Hudsonville, will travel east to play powerful Saline, who eliminated East Kentwood Saturday, 42-7. The Rockford Rams are 7-4 heading into the showdown. Their only common opponent is East Kentwood, who defeated the Rams 28-17 in the final regular season game. The game will be played at 1pm Saturday in Saline.

Cedar Springs has been putting a lot of points up on the board this season, including 44 in Friday's 44-14 whomping of Mount Pleasant, and the Red Hawks are gonna need them when they face the high flying, top ranked Muskegon Big Reds in the Division 3 regional Friday at 7pm. The game will be played on the artificial turf at Grand Haven High School. It was moved there after Muskegon's coach feared the wet weather this week would make Hackley Stadium in Muskegon too muddy. The Red Hawks have put up 90 points in two games so far in the playoffs, but the Big Reds like to score as well, as they average 51 points per game.

In Division 4, defending champion Catholic Central will be at home Saturday at noon to face Upper Peninsula power Escanaba. While to Eskymos have squeaked by in both of their playoff wins, the Cougars of Catholic have been demolishing their foes, winning two playoff games by a combined score of 101-14.

And in Division 5, Unity Christian, who eliminated last year's champion West Catholic in the opening round will travel to Vicksburg for a 3pm Saturday date with perennial power and undefeated Kalamazoo Hackett. The saving grace for the Crusaders will be the fact that they played in a much tougher conference than the Irish, the OK Green.
