A Family Tradition That Started in the Netherlands

The deBoer family has been part of the local food scene since 1956, when they first opened their bakery in Holland. The roots go back even further, with their grandfather working as a baker in the Netherlands.

Those recipes and traditions have been passed down through four generations, shaping what the business is today.

Now, that legacy continues with a new generation stepping in. Samuel, a classically trained master baker, brings creative direction, while Mitchiel, a graduate of the Florida Culinary Institute, serves as head chef. Jacob helps lead operations, and even members of the fifth generation are already learning the craft.

deBoer Dining Experiences in Holland

Today, deBoer Bakkerij and Dutch Brothers Restaurants offer two distinct experiences. The south location leans fast and casual, while the north location offers a full-service breakfast and lunch menu.

You'll find omelets, benedicts, sandwiches, salads, and Dutch favorites like Klompen cakes, ham and pea soup, and pigs in a blanket. Both spots are tied together by the same foundation of house-made baked goods.

The new restaurant will seat 88 inside, with additional patio space for about 40 guests. The family shared on Facebook that they are aiming for a spring opening, though an exact date has not yet been announced.
