New Grand Rapids Restaurant to Offer Salad Bar, Pizza Buffet
Grand Rapids just got a fresh new spot to eat, drink, and catch live music, and I am so pumped for one thing in particular: the salad bar.
If you ever loved the fabulous garden bar at Ruby Tuesday on 28th Street (I sure did, I worked there for over a decade and still miss it), you get it. It's tough to find a restaurant with a good salad bar these days!

Grand Rapids’ New West Side Spot
FirEbird Bar GR officially opened its doors in February at 526 Stocking Ave NW, taking over the space that used to be Turnstiles.
Restaurateur Rob Wahl, who also owns The Win Tavern in Jenison and Bridge Street Bar in Grand Rapids, has created a spot where he hopes people can relax, connect, and enjoy good food and live music without the noise or attitude of a downtown nightclub. He describes Firebird as "clean, comfortable bar with just a little edge."

Menu Favorites and Specialty Pizzas
The menu is already impressive. Appetizers include beer cheese dip, fried pickled veggies, jalapeño cheddar hush puppies, and pork belly burnt ends. You’ll also find chicken sandwiches, specialty grilled cheeses (one even features mac and cheese!), burgers, steaks, salads, and breadsticks.
Both traditional and specialty pizzas are on the menu, including the West Side Hot Honey and the Polka Party, which features kielbasa, potato, and sauerkraut.
