New restaurant alert! If burritos, tacos, and fajitas are up your alley, there's a new spot to get them in Wayland.

The Bernal restaurant group is owned by Holland, Mich., natives Juan and Martin Bernal. The pair has founded several restaurants in the area, including Los Ranchos and El Rancho in Holland, El Jaripeo in Fennville, Los Ranchos in Jenison, and Los Primos Bar and Grill in Lake Odessa.

The newest restaurant in the Bernal group is Don Pocho at 152 S. Main St. in Wayland. A post to Facebook shares that the new eatery is open as of May 14, 2024.

They also serve specialty items like Tortas, Chimichangas and Quesabirria.

Additional entrees include Chicken Dishes, Seafood Dishes, Fajitas, Burritos, Quesadillas, and Enchiladas.

Don Pocho owners say margaritas will be coming soon (so it sounds like they are waiting for liquor license approval).

The restaurant's hours have yet to be shared. Follow Don Pocho on Facebook for updates.

Another Bernal restaurant is also set to open soon - El Tapatio at 363 Cummings Ave. NW in Walker, at the site of the former DeHop's Restaurant.
