Grand Rapids Area Asian Street Food Restaurant Shuts Down Brick-and-Mortar Location

Grand Rapids is saying goodbye to another restaurant.

Just under a year after opening, an Asian street food eatery has announced the closure of its brick-and-mortar locator.

Brunch and Rice opened inside the same building as Amazing Myanmar Asian Cuisine 3740 28th St. SE in Kentwood in December of 2023. Along with Adobe Boy, the three restaurants created the Amazing Food Hall.

Prior to opening the location in Kentwood, Brunch and Rice began as a pop-up during the COVID 19 pandemic. You could find them at events around town like the Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival.

Brunch and Rice's serves Hmong, Laotian, and Thai dishes, including spring rolls, wings, fried rice, stir fry, soup, and more. You'll also find beverages like Vietnamese Coffee, Thai Tea, and Milk Tea.

On Nov. 18, the owner shared to Facebook,

Hello friends, I have made the difficult decision to not renew the lease at Amazing Myanmar. I want to thank everyone for your continuous support during my time here.
I look forward to serving the community in the future, please continue to follow our social for pop ups and events throughout the West Michigan.
In the meantime, you may continue to support Brunch and Rice until Saturday, November 23, 2024.

If you'd like to stop in to Brunch and Rice before it is closed, do so before Saturday, Nov. 23.
