After 12 Years, Beloved Marne Dive Bar is Shutting Down
I’m a sucker for a good neighborhood dive bar. Give me cold beer, zero pretense, and a place where nobody stays a stranger for long, and I am so in. They’re the heart of a community, which is why it stings that Marne is officially saying goodbye to one of its absolute favorites.
The Pickle Back Bar in Marne to Close
After twelve years of cold drinks, no-frills food, and good memories, The Pickle Back is closing its doors at 14624 16th Ave.

Co-owner Stacy announced that an unexpected buyer made an offer they could not pass up. For years, she joked they would own the place forever and never even bothered with an exit strategy, but the deal quickly became real. Wanting to go out on a high note rather than locking the doors overnight, the team decided to celebrate their twelve-year run with the community before moving on to the next chapter.

When those owners readied for retirement in late 2013, Janine and Stacy took the ultimate leap: Stacy quit her job, Janine cashed in her retirement, and by early 2014, The Pickle Back was officially born.
