Brewery Vivant Opens Second Location in Kentwood

For those of us who live on the Southside of town we finally have a place that we can force our friends to drive to.

Brewery Vivant has opened their second location - a taproom called Broad Leaf Local Beer - in Kentwood, which the owners describe as "the weird cousin of Brewery Vivant." A new name also means a new concept for this place, including the beer. WZZM writes:

The second location will follow the core values of Brewery Vivant, but with different beer, a different atmosphere and different food.

You will find a couple Vivant beers on the menu but Broad Leaf has a good selection of their own beers to choose from. Can't decide? You can never wrong with a flight :)

As far as food goes, according to their Facebook page, they hope to have their kitchen open by mid- to late June. That's when they will also have their grand opening. In the meantime you can bring your own food or order takeout on-site.

Broad Leaf Beer is located at 2885 Lake Eastbrook Blvd (formerly Klingman's Furniture Outlet) and is the first brewery in Kentwood.
