To determine Tasting Table's ranking of the best steakhouse chains in the U.S., the author narrowed it down to those with 25 or more franchises. Then, "spoke with meat lovers, read countless reviews, and went back into the Tasting Table archives."

It's not all about the steak though, they also paid attention each chain's other offerings, as steakhouses server everything from burgers to fish to potatoes and veggies.
While chains like Outback Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse might be the first that come to mind when you think of steakhouse chains, they actually came in closer to the bottom of Tasting Table's ranking.
Of the 13 steakhouses on the list, the No. 1 spot goes to The Capital Grille.
Tasting Table describes it as a "knock-your-socks-off" sort of place, saying,
With nearly 75 locations across the United States, The Capital Grille is one of the fancier steakhouses on our list. The menu features various steak cuts, of course, such as filet mignon, bone-in ribeye, and dry-aged New York strip. But there's also the choice of more elegant dishes, such as porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye, gorgonzola-crusted New York strip with a wine reduction sauce, and tenderloin with lobster tails.

Aside from steak, at Capital Grille you'll also find shrimp cocktail, a variety of soup and salad, veal, chicken, lamb chops, tuna, salmon, lobster, and multiple sides.

The only place you'll find Capital Grille in Michigan is at 2800 W Big Beaver Road in Troy.
