BaCon is this weekend, and we're all excited for mountains of BACON!  This will be my first time diving head first into all the bacon, and it's also the first time for Chef Jameson Voss and Louis Benton to be bringing their bacon creations to the Deltaplex for the event!

Jameson came by the GRD studios today to talk about his involvement in BaCon, the dishes he's bringing to the event on Saturday, how he discovered his girlfriend is a keeper, and very importantly, pounds of candied bacon!

His savory bacon treat is a won-ton like taco, with braised pork belly, and beer slaw on top.  He braised the pork belly for 6 hours, and then fried it for about 40 seconds.  The pork was tender inside, with a nice crisp outside, freaking amazing.

The dessert is a creme brûlée (I'm so glad my computer knows how to spell that), with beer in, and candied bacon on top!  It tastes like a great pumpkin pie, with candied bacon on top!

He's also going to make about 15 pounds of candied bacon and bring it to BaCon, so make sure to bring a fork and join me at the Louis Benton booth to chow down on some amazing bacon!

This is going to be the best festival and weekend ever!

I may not be able to move on Sunday, but it'll be worth it.
