A Teacher Was Arrested At A School Board Meeting For Questioning Why Someone Was Getting A Raise

A teacher was arrested at a school board meeting in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana recently for simply asking questions. She was questioning why the superintendent was getting a raise when the rest of the teachers and school employees were once again going without a raise.

She wasn't supposed to ask any questions because it was during the "public comment" portion of the meeting, so the board president warned her to stop. She kept asking anyway, so he ruled her out of order.

A city marshal came over and asked her to leave the room, but she wouldn't, so he escorted her into the hallway and put her in handcuffs.  She was arrested for resisting an officer, but the school system isn't pressing charges.
