The annual Rock USA Festival set for this summer in Oshkosh, Wis., has expanded to a four-day event this year, scheduled for July 17-20. The nonstop rock fest that promises to “break a few rules” just announced its lineup with an eclectic mix of headliners ranging from Avenged Sevenfold and Godsmack to Bret Michaels and Van Halen.
Following the news last week of several new shows added, things seem to have gone south for Van Halen since then. Without much explanation, the legendary rock band just announced that they’ll be postponing all remaining tour dates after their June 26 show in New Orleans, La. With over 30 dates being postponed, the dates impacted start on July 7 in Uncasville, Conn. and span through a Sept. 25 gig in Milwaukee. This obviously means that the July 26 Van Andel Arena show is also canned for now.
April 16, 2012 Not sure where I'm at on this one. One part of me loves the fact that VH is still out there touring, recording etc... The other part of me thinks it's sad when....how shall I put this...Um, yesterday's generation of rockers still try to compete in today's generation of rock. There, I said it.
