Photos – Tailgate Tour 2012 Week 2 at South Christian High School
The GRD Roadies continued the 2012 Tailgate Tour for week two this season at the Byron Center Sports Complex. South Christian High School defended their home turf against Holland Christian on Thursday night (August 30) with a decisive 41-7 victory. Check out our photo gallery from the game!
The Sailors found plenty of offense from multiple players. Quarterback Jon Wassink completed 22 of 29 passes for 325 yards, two of which resulted in touchdowns. Wassink also ran for 75 yards in ten attempts and rushed for a touchdown. As MLive reports, three South Christian players finished the game with 60-plus receiving yards, spearheaded by Austin Diekevers' 96 yards on four catches.
Sailors fans got pumped before the game, winning GRD swag like Subway gift cards, CDs and more. Sport Clips, Metro PCS and the U.S. Army had more prizes to give away. One kid tried winning a Madden NFL '13 player's guide for almost two hours playing cornhole toss. His friend finally won it for him. What a pal.
