LEGO Introduces Slippers to Reduce Brick-Related Injuries [Video]

Children and adults alike know the pain of stepping barefoot on a plastic LEGO brick all too well. Now, the company has designed special slippers to protect your feet from that unexpectedly sharp pain. The only problem: they're only available in France.

Created by ad agency Brand Station as a special holiday promotion for LEGO, the slippers feature an incredible amount of padding, specifically designed to eliminate (or at least reduce) the pain caused by stepping barefoot on LEGO's plastic bricks. Unfortunately though, only 1,500 pairs are being produced, and they'll be distributed at random to anyone who creates a wishlist on LEGO France's website.

For now, it looks like most parents will have to continue to keep a watchful eye out for errant bricks hiding in the carpet.
