I love Grand Rapids and all it has to offer with local music, so I decided why not feature local bands here on wgrd.com! Todays featured Bury The Silence, they answered a few questions for me below! Who are all the members of your band, and what do they play?
Vocals: Addrok Garvey
Guitar: Roger Gundy
Guitar: Corey Bradfield
Bass: Josh Hibbs
Drums: Brett Barrett


When did the band get together, and how?

Rormed by Roger Gundy and Josh Hibbs. The band consists of Addrok Garvey on vocals, Josh Hibbs on Bass, Roger Gundy and Corey Bradfield on guitars, and Brett Barrett on drums. Ever since the addition of vocalist, Addrok and Drummer Brett Barrett, BTS has kicked it into high gear to play every chance and place we can set our gear up and play. And has Recently signed to Rogue Records America outta CA. And now are making a substantial name for themselves in the Michigan metal scene.

How would you describe your music to someone?
Death Metal raped by groove and technicality and then ops out of abortion. Only to have a super heavy metal child that write’s brutal music, with catchy hooks within a well structured format.

Who are some of the bands that influence your music?
All Shall Perish, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Faceless, And Hell Followed With, Within the Ruins, Battlecross, The Contortionist, Molotov Solution, Cattle Decapitation, Cradle of Filth, Carnifex, Death, Morbid Angel, Origin, Behemoth, Decapitated, and many many more!

What other bands have your members been/are in? Fate Whispers, Withhold The Blood, Enrapture, Infinite Design, Theocracide


What other local bands would you recommend people check out?

The Severed Process, Kill Tomorrow, Bury the Silence, Dead Against, Withhold the Blood, As They Sleep, Splice Inception, The Devastator, Battlecross, Night of 1000 Knives, Arm The Prisoners, Mehrunes Dagon, Mellivorinae, Humanity’s last Breath, Synthetic Breed and Genocya.

Where can we catch you performing next? We just played Mulligans in GR, Next May 18 at Crickets in Muskegon, June 26 w/ Stone the Manic in Muskegon at Club Envy, July 21 MakeMeHateYou Fest in Battle Creek. And a bunch of shows in between and after. Those are the shows we would like to highlight for now. \m/ Michigan Metal \m/
