HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Sets April Premiere for Fourth Season [Video]
Winter may have already come for those of us in the real world, but the imminent arrival of spring 2014 means only one thing: 'Game of Thrones' season 4 is upon us!
HBO has set the official April premiere date for the latest trip to Westeros, with a new trailer to premiere this Sunday before the debut of "True Detective."
According to the network, HBO will premiere "Game of Thrones" season 4 on April 6 along with the season 3 premiere of Emmy-winner "Veep," and the series premiere of Mike Judge comedy "Silicon Valley." As previously stated, we can also expect the first trailer for 'Game of Thrones' season 4 to arrive this Sunday, far more satisfying than the brief tease from HBO's year-end trailer.
HBO has cast in known roles Joel Fry as Hizdahr zo Loraq, Roger Ashton-Griffiths as Mace Tyrell, Pedro Pascal as Prince Oberyn Martell, Indira Varma as Oberyn’s lover Ellaria Sand, Yuri Kolokolnikov as Styr, Magnar of Thenn, and ‘Sherlock’ star Mark Gatiss as Tycho Nestoris. ‘Treme”s Michiel Huisman will replace Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis, and Hafthor Julius Bjornsson will take over the role of Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Ian Whyte, among other recastings.
