The long-running California stoner rock band Fu Manchu are back and they've announced plans to release their latest album 'Gigantoid' on April 29.

Stream the new song 'Anxiety Reducer' at Brooklyn Vegan.

'Gigantoid' is Fu Manchu's first studio album in nearly five years, and was recorded with MOAB singer/guitarist Andrew Giacumakis at his studio in Simi Valley, Calif.

"We wrote 17 new songs for this record and got our favorite 9 songs out of that together," says vocalist/guitarist Scott Hill. "We were planning on releasing a 'part 2' record later this year but have plans for some of the other songs to appear in early 2015 to line up with our upcoming 25-year anniversary."

The day after the album drops, Fu Manchu will kick off its spring 2014 tour.

The opening show is April 30 in San Francisco, with the trek wrapping up May 31 in Scottsdale, Ariz., with a couple California dates after that. The band has a May 10 date in Chicago and a May 11 performance in Hamtramck.
