With more festivals than ever before, there’s naturally more opportunities for rockers to hop onstage with other bands on the bill. At the Pain in the Grass festival in Auburn, Washington on Aug. 20, Disturbed were joined by former Queensryche and current Operation: Mindcrime singer Geoff Tate as well as members of Saint Asonia and Alter Bridge to perform the song “Who Taught You How to Hate.”

The cut comes from Disturbed’s latest record, 2015’s Immortalized, tackling social issues of hatred in society, questioning where this hatred is even derived from. In the video above, David Draiman and Tate trade off lines with Tate’s higher, nasal-toned voice forming a clever contrast to Draiman’s gruff approach, especially when they join together on the chorus. Also taking the stage was Alter Bridge’s Mark Tremonti and Saint Asonia’s Clint Lowery, both who played with their respective outfits earlier in the day.

Disturbed are currently on touring Breaking Benjamin, Alter Bridge and Saint Asonia, bringing up various members of the bands onstage throughout the trek to perform the song together. Earlier in the month, Tremonti and Lowery took the stage with Disturbed as well as Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy.

Geoff Tate is readying the release of Resurrection under the Operation: Mindcrime moniker. The album marks the second in a conceptual trilogy which began with last year’s The Key. Disturbed bassist John Moyer played on both records and is a full time member of the Operation: Mindcrime band, also performing under the previous Tate-fronted version of Queensryche during the period when two incarnations of the band existed.
