Aurora Borealis has been hanging in the northern sky all week, but Tuesday the bursts were more visible. It was flickering dimly along the GR skyline when I came in at 4:30am, but it was more apparent earlier in the morning.
It's every stereotype you were told about Michigan's regions since you were a kid. You know -- all they do in Grand Rapids is make furniture, everyone in Holland wears Dutch clothing and picks tulips, and Canada is home to evil scientists. (Wait. WHAT!!?)
This is a great look back to a time long ago. Not only are there giant cars parked outside a downtown business (remember 'Art and Design Center'?), but also have some great shots of Festival in its early years.
Sunday night, Theory of a Deadman hit Grand Rapids with Ayron Jones for a great show at the Intersection! WGRD even got to get some ticket winners in to meet the band before the show, and even get first in line when doors open, and that's always a blast.
