UPDATE: Zachary Michael Patten has been caught in South Bend, Indiana.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police in multiple counties in southwest Michigan are searching for a man they say murdered two people - one in Kalamazoo and one in Constantine.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says 32-year-old Zachary Michael Patten shot and killed a 31-year-old woman just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20.

Patten is also suspected in a murder than occurred in Constantine only a short time after the Kalamazoo incident. WWMT reports that the person killed in Constantine is believed to be the new husband of Patten's ex-wife. He was shot and killed when he opened the door to his family's home.

Patten is believed to be driving a silver 2004 Chrysler Pacifica with Michigan license plate CLN 8224. The vehicle has a "skeleton family" sticker on the rear window and a spare tire on one of the front wheels.

If you see Patten, police advise that you do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
