Stormy weather is bringing dangerous swimming conditions and big waves to Lake Michigan through Friday night.

West Michigan is expected to see the most dangerous conditions.

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids says "large waves and strong currents on Lake Michigan Thursday afternoon through Friday will pose a drowning risk."

Conditions are expected to be worse on Friday. The hardest hit areas will be near Holland, but the whole Michigan lakeshore is at risk especially between Ludington and St. Joseph.
