While scary movies can be exhilarating, poorly-made scary movies can downright hilarious. And while some movies on this list are actually intended to be comedy/horror flicks, all 5 are sure to bring more snickers than actual scares.

1. Zombeavers
A chemical spill into a nearby lake turns the local beavers into flesh-eating "zombeavers," who begin to hunt the group of college kids and locals living nearby. This film actually contains an incredible balance between humor and horror, and coming from the producers of both American Pie and The Ring, one could expect nothing less.

2. The Ring Two
While the first installment of The Ring became a horror classic, The Ring Two did not fare as well. Although some portions are relatively creepy, one cannot ignore the scene where Rachel and her son are attacked by a herd of deer. When one movie creator's idea of a "scary" scene is my dream for the opening day of deer season, it's tough to take the rest of the movie seriously.

3. Jason X
How do you revitalize an overused horror movie franchise? Recycle the plot, but set it in space! Taking place aboard a spacecraft in the 25th century, Jason Voorhees comes back to life (again) to terrorize the spaceship's crew. While the original Friday the 13th contained some truly terrifying moments, one can't help but laugh at Jason X's desperate attempts to be scary.

4. Leprechaun: In the Hood
When a group of rappers try to get back at a pimp, they accidentally awaken a leprechaun, who goes on a murderous rampage to reclaim his missing gold. The plot itself is absurd, and the remarkably racist manner in which the film portrays African Americans is astounding. But, if watching a leprechaun smoke weed and rap (poorly) sounds amusing, you won't want to miss this.

5. Plan Nine from Outer Space
It's fair to give horror movies from over 50 years ago a decent amount of slack. Most special effects hadn't been created yet, so it's not unrealistic to assume that a horror movie from 1959 won't be scary by today's standards. Yet, there's something about Plan Nine that's especially funny. Maybe it's the modified hubcaps as "flying saucers" or the fact that these reanimated corpses walk at a snail's pace and victims somehow STILL can't get away.
