Here is how the 'Song of the Day" works. Just tune in weekday mornings to the Free Beer and Hot Wings Show in the 8 am hour. They will tell you the name of the Red Hot Chili Peppers song, what time Janna or Tommy will play it later in the day. Where you hear it, be caller 9 with the song title and win.

The Chili Peppers will be performing at Comerica Park in Detroit, August 14. The Strokes and Thundercat will be opening the show.

The Chili Peppers put together a tour promo. Anthony, Flea, and Chad have all had some acting time whether it be movies or tv the guys show off their skills in this "Anchorman" like parody:

I'm very excited that the Chili Peppers have brought back guitarist John Frusciante. He played on some of their biggest albums and was a key component to some of their biggest songs.

Frusciante played on the Chili Peppers' breakthrough albums Mother's Milk in 1989 and 1991's Blood Sugar Sex Magik. He soon left but did return in 1999. He then playin on Californication, By The Way and Stadium Arcadium before leaving atgain in 2009.

The Chili Peppers have had a lot of different guitar players over the years but seem to have their biggest successes with Frusciante in the band.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been writing and recording ever since it was announced that Fruisciante would return to the band.
