Linebacker Alex Anzalone has been a force to be reckoned with from the Detroit Lions for the past few years. Anzalone has led the team in tackles for the past 2 years and is 4th now even though he's been off the field for a month and a half.

It was a big win for the Lions when the beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 52-6 but at the same time a huge loss when Anzalone broke is his forearm. Team doctors said Anzalone was expected to be out 6-8 weeks of the season with the possibility of returning if the Lions made the playoffs.

Could Anzalone Be Back in Time for Game Against the Vikings?
Anzalone was spotted at the Lions practice facility on New Years Day. Anzalone did a walkthrough practice and did some running. This means there is a potential for him to return to the field against the Minnesota Vikings which would be earlier than originally planned.
Anzalone is a fan favorite and one of the most important players on the Lions defense. Fans and team members alike would welcome Anzalone back to the field.
According to FOX 17, Lions head coach Dan Campbell said, "We'll see how he does. (Thursday) will be a big day for us to see where he's at."
If Anzalone runs out of the tunnel on Sunday night when the Lions host the Minnesota Vikings the fans will lose their minds. With both teams 14-2, this game will decide who is the number seed in the NFC and who will get stuck as a wild card team.
