West Ottawa High School Lockdown Lifted, Armed Student in Custody

West Ottawa High School in Holland was on lockdown Thursday morning following a report of an armed person on campus.

Wood TV 8 reports that students alerted administrators who contacted school resource deputies around 10:30a.m.

According to police, a 17-year-old student was found outside the school with a small caliber handgun.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The student was taken into custody and is now being questioned by police.
