If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, now’s the time to act! The Humane Society of West Michigan is at full capacity and has put out an urgent call for help on Facebook to get these animals into loving homes as soon as possible.

The shelter, located at 3077 Wilson Dr. NW in Walker, says they’re “bursting at the seams” with adoptable dogs, cats, and rabbits.

To help make room, they’ve launched a limited-time flash sale with reduced adoption fees: dogs over six months are $99, cats over six months are $25, and rabbits are $25. Every adoption makes room for another animal who desperately needs care.

Not in a place to adopt but still want to help? Donations and fosters are always needed!

The Humane Society also hosts fun events for pet lovers, like the upcoming Puppies & Pizza gathering on Saturday, August 2 at Hager Park in Jenison. It’s a laid-back afternoon with free pizza, professional puppy photo ops, and—of course—plenty of cuddles. Lakeman Financial will be covering dog adoption fees during the event, making it even easier to give a deserving pup a forever home.
