The shelter, located at 3077 Wilson Dr. NW in Walker, says they’re “bursting at the seams” with adoptable dogs, cats, and rabbits.

To help make room, they’ve launched a limited-time flash sale with reduced adoption fees: dogs over six months are $99, cats over six months are $25, and rabbits are $25. Every adoption makes room for another animal who desperately needs care.

Not in a place to adopt but still want to help? Donations and fosters are always needed!

The Humane Society also hosts fun events for pet lovers, like the upcoming Puppies & Pizza gathering on Saturday, August 2 at Hager Park in Jenison. It’s a laid-back afternoon with free pizza, professional puppy photo ops, and—of course—plenty of cuddles. Lakeman Financial will be covering dog adoption fees during the event, making it even easier to give a deserving pup a forever home.
