A Wyoming man who has been considered missing for nearly a decade was discovered inside a submerged car in a Kent County pond, WZZM-13 reports.

The car was pulled out of the water sometime Tuesday morning near the Byron Center Manor on 84th St. The victim inside of the car was a man with a 1939 date of birth, but police have not revealed his identity.

They did say they believe he's been missing since 2006.

A maintenance worker at Byron Center Manor noticed something unusual in the pond Tuesday and contacted authorities.

Police are continuing to investigate.
