Weezer Releasing Surprise Album Next Week

Well here's the good news that I needed in 2021: we're getting not just one, but two new albums from Weezer this year.

Weezer shared shared on social media that they're releasing the new album, "OK Human", January 29. We'll get the first single "All My Favorite Songs" this Thursday, January 21. Limited vinyl will be available for pre-order Thursday too.

Originally scheduled to come out in spring of 2020, "Van Weezer" was delayed due the the coronavirus pandemic and given a new release date of May 7, 2021. Frontman Rivers Cuomo had previously said that the "Van Weezer" album would be guitar heavy and  "Blue Album-ish, but a little more riffy."

Weezer had planned to hit the road with Green Day and Fall Out Boy on their Hella Mega tour in 2020... and well, then we all know what happened. At this point, the tour is scheduled to kick off this summer.
