W. Mi Police Channel Seinfeld On Facebook Which is Spectacular
It's nice to see police take a different approach to informing the public and having a sense of humor while doing so. The Walker Police Department is one of them.
Public Perceptions of the Police
Most Michiganders have favorable attitudes toward their local police department while others think that all cops are just out to get them.
Police officers are part of your community just as you and your family are. They are not out to get you unless you are breaking the law.
Police and Social Media
Police often use social media as a tool to catch people who break the law. Some idiot criminals are so dumb they post about crimes they have either committed or are about to commit and some are bold enough to post the video.
Police often catch sexual predators using social media like the 60-year-old fireman in Calhoun County who thought he was going to get lucky with a 14-year-old and wound up getting arrested instead.
Some police departments also really have a sense of humor on their social media. It seems to show their constituents that they are humans too but some police department socials are better than others.
Walker Police Department Channel Seinfeld With Social Media Post
Reading that post above from the City of Walker Police Department made my day and anyone else who has ever seen the TV show Seinfeld. This type of post breaks down barriers between the public and law enforcement and also gets the point across in a fun way. Check out some of the responses below:
You can already see above how effective a message like this can be.
As you can see people love the message and are engaged with their police department and each other as a community and that is a great thing.
There are lots more messages, memes, and GIFs on this thread. You can see them all here and feel free to drop yours on the post as well.
