Support the arts in West Michigan by voting for the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony to win $5,000 from Independent Bank!

The bank is giving $5,000 each to four local Arts non-profits in the communities they serve. Voting is going on now through Dec. 14. You can vote once per day until the contest ends.

The Grand Rapids Youth Symphony's mission is to bring the enjoyment and rewards of great music to musicians between the ages of 12-21 and to enrich the West Michigan community through regular performances and outreach opportunities.

In 2016, GRYS will tour Vienna, Salzburg, Prague and the Czech Republic for its first-ever international tour in their 56-year history.

Students will encounter a new land, culture, and customs through the power of music and will experience the places where the music they play of Mozart, Schubert and Beethoven came to life.

GRYS is raising funds so all qualified students can participate.

Right now GRYS is in second place in Independent Bank's contest-- Vote here!
