Last year, I posted 5 games you could play with your Valentine! Well, Valentines Day is this week and you STILL don't have a ton of money to buy a box of chocolates, dozen roses, and even a White Castle dinner (Why don't we have White Castle in Grand Rapids, MI)! However, you have over $300 worth of video gaming bliss! Cuddle on the couch, grab a controller, and start gaming!

TMNT IV: Turtles In Time (SNES)

Teamwork is the keyword here! Pick your favorite turtle and battle the Foot Clan together! It really only has 1 button you have to remember, the Y-Button (aka, the attack button). Just keep hitting the Y-Button and you'll be OK! Beware though, if either one of you get's low on health, watch out for one of you being the Pizza Hoarder. Pizza in this game refills your entire life bar, and I have lived through so many times where the other grabs the pizza and they don't even need it! This could end up in one of you getting upset and BOOM! GAME OVER MAN!

TMNT IV is a fantastic game, just don't be a Pizza hoarder!

    Kirby's Dream Course (SNES)

Ever play Golf? It can get kinda boring. Ever play Mini-Golf? Yea, it's fun but it's freakin' winter! Ever play Kirby's Dream Course? No?! WELL YOU SHOULD! Especially if you are a couple. This is one of the few games that I play with my wife, and strangely enough, she introduced it to me! (MIND BLOWN!) You play as Kirby and the game basically plays out like a Mini-Golf course, and your golf ball is Kirby! Roll him up into a ball, take out the baddies, collect the most stars, line up your shot, and move onto the next course! It's a really easy game to learn and can be a lot of fun. Each course has it's own challenges and you can sometimes impress the other on how well you can execute your shot. Even my wife has impressed me on some of her shots, and I am CAPTAIN N: THE GAME MASTER (Not really...). Since you can't head out to a real mini-golf course, this is a great option!

You can get this game on SNES, Wii, and WiiU

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (XBLA)

I will admit, I haven't played a ton of this game, but from what I have, it is a lot of fun! It even has that old school side scrolling beat em up to it too! What's unique about this game is that if you decide to do the whole double date thing on Valentines Day, you can grab 2 other friends and jam out an epic 4-player game! The game play is extremely similar to TMNT IV, but it features characters from Scott Pilgrim. Not many people have older game consoles, so I had to think of a game on a newer console...and that's where this one came from.

    Woo hoo!

    Guitar Hero/Rock Band

At one point a couple years ago, these games ruled the world. It seemed like everyone in the world was playing either Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Chances are, there are plastic instruments in your house somewhere collecting dust. Maybe it's time to break out the old guitar and start hittin' buttons! Who knows, you may have already forgotten the large amount of music you downloaded onto your hard drive! The cool thing about both of these games is that there is competitive and co-op portions of the game. You can also adjust the difficulty so that it is fun for everyone! Heck, you can even put the 'No Fail' option on and just play the song without the worry of dying out mid-song. However, I feel as though this takes away the competition of the game, thus ruining the experience. Break out that classic (is it considered classic now?) and play some Guitar Hero or Rock Band...whatever you have.

    Available on pretty much everything

    Wii Sports (Wii)

At this point in life, who hasn't played Wii Sports yet? This game alone sold what seems like a billions Nintendo Wii game consoles. What sold this game? Simplicity! Even Grandma could play this game! For un-experienced video game players, Wii Sports is a perfect fit for you. You can play up to 4 players (if you are doing the double date thing), and competitively or co-op play. I do however suggest that you play bowling, as it is the easiest game to play and is quite accurate too. I will say, this game has collected dust over the years, but it is still fun. Also, it's way cheaper than actual bowling.
