Van Buren County Cemetery Vandalized, More Than 30 Headstones Damaged

Police are searching for suspects involved in the damage of dozens of headstones in Geneva County.

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department got a report Tuesday of more than 30 headstones tipped over or damaged at the Lacota Cemetery on Baseline Road, Wood TV 8 reports.

Deputies believe the vandalism may have occurred Saturday, March 19.

Police have little information at this time and are asking for help with the case.
