Fewer people are using the U.S. Postal Service and instead of lowering prices to lure consumers to come back, they have decided to raise the price of stamps.

I have been a fan of the U.S. Postal Service since I was a kid. When I entered the music business the post office was my best friend. I sent demos and promo kits all over the world. We shipped our music and merch globally through the postal service because it was cheap and reliable.

I moved to the Grand Rapids area in early 2018 and was still very happy with the U.S. Postal Service. I would mail stuff back and forth with my mom who lives a few hours away and we would receive the mail within two days. According to the USPS, on July 14, 2024, the price of a stamp will go from 68 cents to 73 cents. Let's see, the postal service is getting worse, fewer people are using it, and now they are raising the price of stamps again. It's as if they are purposely trying to do away with the U.S. Mail Service.
