Train Derailment Closes Part of 28th St. in Wyoming

A loud boom was heard across Grand Rapids around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, was it caused by this train derailment?

WZZM-13 reports that a train derailed at 28th St. and US-131 in Wyoming right around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WOOD-TV8 says that at least four train cars went off the tracks.

28th St. is closed in both directions US-131 and Buchanan Avenue. In addition, the ramp to 28th Street from NB US-131 is blocked.
