West Michigan Dog Park in the Running for ‘Best Dog Bar’ in the U.S.

If you want to be out and about and enjoy adult beverages with your friends - both human and canine - dog bars are a great option. Well one West Michigan dog park is getting national attention!

"What's the Best Dog Bar in the U.S.?" is a the subject of a new USA Today and 10Best readers' poll.

Twenty dog bars that cater to pooches with off-leash play areas and special events have been chosen by a panel of experts. Now it's up to a public vote!

The Pack in Comstock Park is up for Best Dog Bar in the U.S.

The Pack bills itself as Michigan’s first indoor off leash dog park, restaurant, and bar. The indoor area is climate controlled.

There is an outdoor play area for pups as well. It looks like the have a lot of fun at The Pack, with special events for holidays and meet-ups for specific breeds.

For drinks you'll find signature cocktails like the Georgia Peach, Crisp Apple Mule, and Orange Crush. Beer and wine are available too.

The food menu includes hand tossed pizza, flatbreads, wings, chicken tenders, quesadillas, Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, plus specials like tacos and fried fish. According to The Pack, the restaurant's fries get rave reviews!

To visit The Pack with your pet, you'll need a membership. Don't have a dog but still want to go? Firstly, The Pack says it's not weird at all to come without a dog, and it's free! You're welcome to hang out in the people only space or hang out in the dog play areas.

Dog entry requirements for The Pack are:

• Must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP and Bordetella)
• Must be properly socialized for group play
• Must be registered on their website
• Must be spayed or neutered if over 12 months old

They also offer doggy day care!
