Memorial Day is just a few days away. Many people mark it as the beginning of summer which doesn't technically begin until June 20. But, with the temps rising, you might be inclined to cool off and take a dip in a pool. This woman claims to know where the first residential swimming pool in the state of Michigan is...her grandparents' house.

Located in Frankfurt, her grand-parents 186 year old house boasts the first residential pool in Michigan. I tried to do some fact checking. There is no way to prove the claim. You can get a history of pools though.

Austin, Texas is home to one of the oldest swimming pools in the country. Deep Eddy Pool has a bathhouse built during the Depression by the Works Progress Administration. It is listed as a historic landmark on the National Register of Historic Places.
