Hear ye, hear ye, the gathering of thy royal court in the village of Hollygrove shall soon begin. Okay, that's the best impression of old-timey talk I can do, but this is merely a taste of what you'll experience at Renaissance Faire in Holly at the end of the month, and it is something you don't want to miss.

Set in the fictional village of Hollygrove (inspired by the town it takes place in), it is packed with what you'd want from the 16th century: jousting, markets, theater, and lots of mead. It's enough to make you yell "Huzzah!" Oh, and you're encouraged to show up in costume to really get in on the atmosphere.

Personally, my favorite part of the entire experience isn't the jousting - rather, it's the random pickle merchant that gives you a giant pickle in a rather ceremonious way. You'll just have to believe me and seek him out when you go this season.
